Scaffolding A scaffolding is a temporary structure used in construction to provide access to the exterior facades of a building, up to a significant height. The three main types of scaffolding are facade scaffolding, multidirectional scaffolding and masonry scaffolding. There are fixed, rolling or suspended scaffolding: mobile scaffolding can be moved along a building depending on the progress of the work, and suspended scaffolding is more used to work at the roof of a building. Fixed scaffolding is used for long term work.
