Thanks to its innovative design and environmentally respectful architecture, the building blends perfectly into its natural surroundings. The area is frequented throughout the year by hikers and alpine sports enthusiasts. It also attracts many off-piste skiers, captivated by the beauty of the site in winter.
Narrow valley and challenging weather conditions
The Cascata D'Otro Mountain Lodge construction site was located in the heart of a narrow mountain valley. This setting involves winding access roads and limited space, complicating storage and machinery maneuvering. The team also had to cope with variable weather conditions, including wind, temperatures, and even snowfall.
The features of the Liebherr 81 K.1, in operation from May to November 2025, perfectly matched these constraints. It offers compact transport dimensions and a small footprint. Its quick assembly capability, adjustable hook heights, and multiple jib configurations were also significant advantages in this environment.
