Hitachi puts AI to the test with Rithmik Solutions

Hitachi Construction Machinery continues to focus on innovation to advance its product ranges. The manufacturer has just invested 3 million dollars (€2.6 million) in a company specializing in analytics applied to mining equipment.

    Intelligent data analysis

Rithmik Solutions relies on AI to better understand the actions performed by machines. Using the data collected, it proposes optimization measures to improve productivity. It also delivers results that help reduce fuel consumption, thereby limiting the environmental impact of operations and enabling mining companies to achieve their environmental objectives.

The company was able to demonstrate its expertise during a one-year trial completed in July 2025. During this period, its systems collected data from six large hydraulic excavators and forty haul trucks. This information was then compared with the manufacturers’ theoretical reference values. By highlighting deviations, this analysis contributes to improved anomaly detection and to the enhancement of predictive maintenance systems.

    Research and development

Thanks to the significant financial support from Hitachi, Rithmik Solutions is securing a stable future and new prospects in research and development. Hitachi Construction Machinery, for its part, benefits from a new technology capable of guiding future designs. This will help it meet the need for continuous technological progress driven by customers and competition. This investment is also expected to open the door to new markets and have positive effects on the quality of customer support.
