Preparing for challenging terrain
This configuration includes a reinforced undercarriage, as well as several large reducers, a specific counterweight, and a new generation of slewing ring. The undercarriage features a track pitch of 203 mm (8 in), unusual dimensions for a machine of this category. These ensure longer durability, even under extreme stress (site preparation, clearing work, or forestry operations, etc.).
The new mechanical components include a large final reducer and another located near the engine. Both maximize the excavator’s natural efficiency. With higher traction force and better rotational torque, the machine gains power, allowing it to work on delicate terrain and tackle steeper slopes.
Providing greater control
The 7.5-ton (16,540 lb) counterweight also plays an essential role. It contributes to greater stability, even when using various attachments (blade, variable-angle boom, reinforced arm, grapples, quick coupler, etc.). Even better, the counterweight does not compromise the 325 Cat’s mobility, even in tight spaces.
Compatible with numerous attachments, the reinforced configuration also includes, as standard, a quick coupler circuit and an arm already ready to receive bucket grapples. These components reduce the need for modifications after the machine is acquired.
