Hitachi evolves: discover its future new name!

Hitachi Construction Machinery is about to change its name and will officially become LANDCROS as of April 1, 2027.

    What does LANDCROS mean?

The first part of this new brand comes from the English word “Land”, meaning “earth,” in line with Hitachi Group’s stated vision: “to ensure a prosperous land and society for the future.”

The second half, “CROS”, is a word in which each letter represents an important commitment for the Hitachi Group. “C” stands for “Customer”, “R” for “Reliable”, “O” for “Open”, and “S” refers to “Solutions.”

    Why this new name?

Despite the upcoming name change, Masafumi Senzaki, President and COO of Hitachi Construction Machinery, stated that the company’s identity remains unchanged and unshakable. In collaboration with companies around the world, teams are developing new ideas and technologies. Since its founding in 1950, Hitachi Construction Machinery has built a strong network of partners, enabling it to meet numerous challenges. The company also maintains strong relationships with its customers by offering high-performance products and services, including support and after-sales service.

Thus, “LANDCROS” reflects long-standing values while highlighting a constant commitment to evolution and modernization. The ongoing transformations aim to ensure an activity level suited to the coming century, particularly through innovative solutions.
