Unicontrol integrated into Liebherr G8 bulldozers
Liebherr has just made its range of crawler bulldozers (generation 8, models PR 716 to PR 756) compatible with the 3D Unicontrol solution. This enhances machine performance by enabling automatic grading control.
Many eligible bulldozers
This system was developed by the company Unicontrol. Founded in 2019 and based in Odense, Denmark, it specializes in developing digital devices for all types of construction machinery. It currently dominates the Scandinavian market and is rapidly expanding throughout Europe. Its products are also exported to North America and as far as Australia.
The intelligent 3D GPS/GNSS grading control can be installed on the blade of newly marketed bulldozers. Thanks to retrofit capability, older equivalent machines are also eligible. Many customers will thus benefit from a powerful, easy-to-maintain, and now more flexible machine. The acquisition cost of generation 8 machines is therefore amortized more quickly, while field productivity is improved.
A simple installation process
The connection between the machine and the 3D Unicontrol solution is made possible by creating a specific connector, the Liebherr Unicontrol Easy Link. Once installed, the electrical connection between both systems is completed. The manufacturer’s teams then integrate new software into the machine’s control system. The final step in the installation process involves preparing the cab, where adjustments must be made to install a display.
