Ammann innovates with new ARX 90-2 and ARX 110-2 compactors

Manufacturer Ammann introduces two new compactor models, the ARX 90-2 and ARX 110-2, featuring ergonomic and technical enhancements. By removing the traditional steering wheel and adopting a control system that lets operators keep both hands on the armrests, Ammann improves both comfort and operational safety. These models include a palm support designed to reduce fatigue and the risks of repetitive motion. In terms of performance, they offer a two-level vibration system with adjustable frequencies from 37 to 54 Hz, enabling precise compaction adjustments based on site needs.

Caterpillar unveils the 980 GC, a new wheel loader built for demanding applications while maintaining low energy consumption. Powered by the C13 engine, it combines strength and efficiency. Its automatic Powershift transmission and emissions reduction module help reduce environmental impact while maintaining high productivity. This machine is part of the manufacturer’s strategy to deliver robust, versatile, and environmentally compliant equipment.

Construction site in Czech Republic: Develon excavator at work on former Tesla site

In the Czech Republic, a major demolition project is underway using a Develon DX380DM-7 excavator at the former Tesla production site in Lanškroun. This 19th-century historic building, with notable architectural features (cast iron columns, granite staircases, etc.), is being partially and carefully dismantled. Some elements will be reused in other heritage renovation projects. In the next phase, the Develon excavator, equipped with a long arm and sorting grapple, will handle demolition. Its modular design also allows for switching to a shorter arm for rubble loading operations.
