3 Develon excavators accumulate service hours in Estonia
The DX1000LC-7, DX800LC-7, and DX490LC-7 excavators have been operating for several months in a quarry located in Estonia. All three have already accumulated thousands of service hours (25,000 h) without experiencing any significant technical issues.
The hyperactive DX800LC-7 and DX490LC-7 excavators!
The 50-ton and 80-ton excavators were installed in the year 2022. Since their commissioning, they have respectively logged 10,100 and 11,600 operating hours in a particularly demanding environment, with an average fuel consumption of 19 l/h and 32 l/h.
To carry out their tasks, the DX800LC-7 is equipped with an eccentric hydraulic rock breaker or a bucket, while the DX490LC-7 handles all its missions with a hydraulic hammer. Despite the challenging configuration for these machines, the 80-ton excavator has encountered no major issues.
The supporting role of the DX1000LC-7
A few months after the arrival of this duo, a third excavator joined the fleet. It is a 100-ton model named Develon DX1000LC-7. Since its first work in Estonia on January 31, 2023, this excavator has continuously demonstrated its numerous qualities. Among its assets, its low fuel consumption is undoubtedly the most interesting. Used in demanding applications such as mining, the excavator shows an average fuel consumption of less than 40 liters per hour. Peaks slightly exceeding 45 l/h have been observed during challenging tasks such as digging into the ground and direct extraction.
