Scania and Kobelco sign a partnership
The new Kobelco track cranes will be equipped with Scania engines ! Both companies announced their partnership and could continue collaborating in the future.

New hydraulic track cranes by Kobelco will soon be on the market. It is a all-terrain crane, with a 300 ton lifting capacity, that is going to be equipped with an industrial engine made by Scania. These 13-liter engines have a low fuel consumption and a low weight / power ratio.
Launched in the USA first, the cranes will meet the American emission norm requirements but also the Stage IV, Tier 4 and Japan H26 norm requirements.
The models offered by Scania and Kobelco are different depensing on the countries and the respective requirements, with the CK3300G-2 model for North America, the CKE3000G for Europe and the CKS3000 for other markets.
A fruitful collaboration
Both manufacturers were happy about the collaboration.
Thus, the president of the Design & Development Engineering for Kobelco says the « collaboration offered by Scania » and hopes « for success in the future ». The engine sales director for Scania Japan explains that they are confident and « happy that Scania was chosen by Kobelco ».
This isn't the first partnership for both companies. Maybe this will be the beginning of a long-terme partnership ?
