The new Doosan wheel loader on the European market

Since its introduction at CONEXPO and the success it got, the new Doosan wheel loader is awaited. The commercialisation, in June 2017, just started in Europe: the DL420CVT-5 is now available.

    A Continuously Variable Transmission

The DL420CVT-5 loader is equipped with a 311-hp engine. It is the first loader model to have a continuously variable transmission. This technology is composed of a hydraulic motor combined with a hydraulic pump which provides a smooth and continuous speed variation. It can go from a transmission mode to the other without the operator's intervention.

The comfort and driving flexibility of the continuously variable transmission have an impact on the fuel consumption of the loader. The fuel savings are up to15 %, which is not negligible, in terms of money savings or environment protection.

A hydraulic system with load sensing

This DL420CVT-5 wheel loader benefits from a hydraulic system with load sensing, like the other "new generation" model from the manufacturer. This technology adjusts the power of the hydraulic system depending on the work it is doing. Indeed, this output can sometimes be excessive. This system increases the lifespan of the machine.

    4 working modes

All the Doosan wheel loaders have the "normal" mode and the "economy" mode, so has the DL420CVT-5. But this new model offers two additional modes : the « driving » mode and the "digging" mode. The operator can also adapt the machine's performances depending on the different needs.
