The Japanese manufacturer launched on the European market in April 2015 three new models : the PC360LC/NLC-11 hydraulic excavator, the D65EXi/PXi-18 bulldozer and the PC490LC-10 demolition excavator.

The Komatsu PC360LC/NLC-11 tracked excavator

Equipped with a Komatsu Stage IV certified engine of 202 kW, this new 36 tonnes model benefits from 5% more energy than the previous model. In addition to the European rules regarding the nitrogen oxydes emissions, this new  Komatsu tracked excavator « uses 3G communication, guarantees an optimum comfort and integrates new security systems », says Vince Porteous, Product Manager at Komatsu Europe International

The Japanese manufacturer developed a system for the adjustable speed, that regulates the engine's speed according to the hydraulic pump's use. It is used according to the operator's needs : hard work or small ones. Other improvements have been made to the hydraulic system, that reduces the power loses. Six working modes can adapt the machine's performances to the use.

The cab is comfortable and silent and the machine is easy to use with its proportional lever controls for a precise work. Certified ROPS (Roll Over Protection Structure), the cab has a reinforced châssis and is on viscous dampers that guarantee as little vibration as possible. A tactile, high resolution, LCD 7' screen allow the operator to check the engine's AdBlue level, the ECO recommandations, the holding registers, the fuel consumption history and the use data. The rear camera is used to see the back of the machine, a side camera is available as an option.

Finally, in terms of maintenance, this excavator is equipped with the EMMS (Equipement Management Monitoring System) system, that diagnosis and offers a breakdown assistance. The Komtrax long-distance control via the internet or a smartphone gives data such as the fuel level, the operating hours or where the machine is.

The Komatsu D65EXi/PXi-18 bulldozer

Launched at Intermat 2015, this new Komatsu bulldozer ranging from 20,5 to 24,9 tonnes is equipped with a Komatsu SAA6D114E-6 engine of 162 kW meeting the requirements for the UE Stage IV. Based on the recent Komatsu D65-18 dozer, it completes the smart bulldozer range called Machine Control by Komatsu and available in Europe. This model levels precisely but can also do important levelling works with a completely automated blade that adapts during work.

Inside the cab, a mode selector and loading parameters give the operator the possibility to adjust the system to the use. The cab's roof has a GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) antenna, which collects precise data about the surface. On hills, the cylinder switch measures the blade's angle for a precise levelling.

For maintenance, this new bulldozer is equipped with the Komtrax system.

The Komatsu PC490LC-10 demolition hydraulic excavator

New in the Komatsu demolition machines, this new Komatsu demolition excavatore of 66 tonnes is perfect to dismantle heavy industrial structures, or for high work. It is equipped with a  Komatsu SAA6D125E-6A engine of 270 kW certified UE Stage IIIB / EPA Tier 4 Interim. This new model « was specifically designed and made for European clients », says Simon Saunders.

With a maximum working height of 28 metres, this excavator has a large range of action, with a front range up to 16,5 metres. Equipped with 5-tonne demolition tools, it can demolish up to 17,4 metres high. The system memorises the parameters of 15 accessories, and takes into account the machine's inclination (from 0 to 30°) to calculate the available range of action.

With a comfortable and silent working enviromnent, the cab has been reinforced with a tubular chassis, viscous dampers for low vibrations. In terms of safety, the windshield and roof window have a protection glass against violent impacts while the front protection meets the requirements of the ISO10262 Level 2.

As for the PC360LC/NLC-11 hydraulic excavator, this demolition excavator is equipped with the EMMS and Komtrax systems for maintenance.
