Where does the Sunward brand come from?

The Sunward brand originates from China, where it was founded in 1999 by Professor He Qinghua. Since its inception, Sunward has established itself as an innovative engineering company focused on three main sectors: construction, special and rescue equipment, and aerospace. In just two decades, it has become a global leader in the construction sector, staying true to its motto, “Innovation leads to value,” which emphasizes the importance of innovation for quality. In 2015, Sunward expanded its operations to Europe with the creation of Sunward Europe Heavy Industry in Belgium. To support its continuous growth and meet rising demand, the company invested in 2021 in 25,600 m² facilities in Tessenderlo.

What are Sunward’s main mini excavators?

Sunward mini excavators cover a wide range, each designed to meet specific needs depending on the requirements of the job site. The Sunward SWE 08B is the smallest in the range, designed for tight spaces. With a high power-to-weight ratio, it stands out for its intuitive controls and optimal operator protection thanks to its TOPS system. Its compact size makes it easy to transport across different job sites, whether indoors or outdoors.

The Sunward SWE 20F is the most popular model in Europe. This mini excavator, known for its durability, delivers optimal performance and simplified maintenance. Its variable-width undercarriage ensures excellent maneuverability and easy transport, making it a preferred choice for a variety of construction sites.

More recently, Sunward launched the SWE 50UF at the INTERMAT show in Paris in April 2024. This 5-ton model sits between the SWE 35UF and SWE 60UF and features zero tail swing, making it particularly suitable for confined spaces. It belongs to Sunward’s Zero Tail range, renowned for its award-winning design, and offers excellent value for money, further reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation and performance.
