Kobelco SK30SR-6 and SK35SR-6 : two new excavators on the market

Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. (KCME) launches two new hydraulic, short-radius mini-excavators. The two excavators are specialised in levelling and civil engineering. They are already available in the 3-4 tonne category.

KCME introduces their latest excavators always more economic

Kobelco, known for its innovations in terms of fuel efficiency, improved the hydraulic pumps on their new excavators.

With the new engine by KCME, the fuel consumption of these track excavators  has been reduced to 25% in S mode, meaning normal work. The size of these new engines is reduced in comparison to the previous series, but still has the same performances thanks to the optimisation of the hydraulic management. Indeed, inside the series 5 excavators, the third hydraulic pump  was only used to supply the orientation blade. Now for the hydraulic excavators of the 6 series, the pump also supplies the equipment. This is a flow share in the engine of the generation 6 mini excavators, which helps save fuel by reducing the load of the engine and pumps.

What's the iNDR system used by Kobelco ?

The iNDR system is an innovation that reduces the noise level of the excavator by 7 Db and reduces the emissions of dust during construction works. This technology is new on 3 to 4 tonne excavators. From a pratical point of view, this system avoids any damage to the radiator when cleaning the mini-excavator by facilitating the access to the air filter.

Kobelco series 6, for drivers' comfort

Beyond the noise reductions, the 6th generation mini-excavator's cabs have been improved to allow the driver to be comfortable. The AC has been integrated in this last series of Kobelco excavators. The cab has also been completely changed to improve the driver's view on all sides of the machine. The series 6 Kobelco excavator are equipped with a reclining seat with mechanical suspension. Finally, a USB and a auxiliary input have been added to the radio, increasing the driving comfort.

Marcel Van Der Winden, product manager at KCME, says the Kobelco SK30SR-6 et SK35SR-6 : “Kobelco’s continued commitment to providing customers with the very best in design and technology has also led to incredible cost savings through reduced fuel consumption and service downtime. The recently applied innovative technology has not only extended the exceptional work performance and short-radius capabilities of these machines, but the operator benefits have also greatly improved."
