Levelling equipments : a common guiding system for Case & Leica
Case and Leica Geosystems partner to provide machine control technologies.
Construction equipment manufacturer Case and Leica Geosystems manufacturer partnered up their knowledge to manufacture a new guiding system for their construction equipment machines.
A technical partnership for a program of extensive test
Case delivered four levelling machines in Odense, Danmark, at the R&D head office of Leica Geosystems : a bulldozer Case 1650M XLT, a Case wheel loader 621F, Case track excavator CX210C and a grader Case 836C AWD. « We have chosen to use Case machines at our main test site in Denmark due to the advanced technology and reliability that Case is known for. With the selection of Case machines that we now have, we can perform tests and gain valuable experience for all our major on-machine control solutions.» explains Sten Kristensen, Director of Product Management at Leica Geosystems.
Invest on the R&D to increase the efficiency and the return on investment
These construction machines are used to test 2D and 3D command solutions, but also help clients of Leica Geosystems to get trained to use these guiding systems. According to Mohamed Abd El Salam, Global Product Marketing Manager for Precision Solutions & Telematics : « This collaboration fits within our long-term partnership with Leica Geosystems, who shares our vision of offering best-in-class machines with advanced technology to maximise our customers’ efficiency and return on investment ». The loaders, graders, bulldozers and the Case excavators will be in the forefront of innovation in terms precise guidance.
