Kobelco launches their Generation 10 excavators and seven new mini-diggers in Europe

Previewed by the visitors of Intermat in April 2015, the Kobelco hydraulic excavators from the Generation 10 series will be launched this summer in Europe by the Japanese manufacturer. In the third trimester, 7 new models of Kobelco mini-diggers will also be available in Europe.

Manufactured in Japan, the latest Generation 10 series of Kobelco hydraulic excavators is the first for this manufacturer, who is specialised in high end track excavators for levelling, which meets the Stage 4 emission norms. Weighing 20 to 35 tonnes, these new models,  including the SK210LC-10 (21,7 tonnes, 124 kW power output, bucket of 0,8 m3), saves more fuel than the Generation 9, thanks to the regenaration technology. In S and Eco mode (normal work), the fuel consumption is down by 6,1%. In H mode (heavy work), the work load is increased by 6.7% for the same fuel consumption.

Among the innovative technics on these new excavators, we can note the use of a new filter for hydraulic oil easier to remove, a new inside element of air filter or new diagnosis features accessible from the new cab's dashboard.  The boom and the counterweight have been redesigned and their sections and joints reinforced. In the cab, a new control lever with a lighter feel, additional air conditioning and a new revised rear storage offer more comfort to the operator.

Kobelco also launches 7 new models of  mini-excavators : the conventional models SK16, SK18, SK22 and SK26, and the short radius models SK10SR-3, SK17SR-5 and SK25SR-6. Their compact dimensions and their low weight (range from 0 to 3 tonnes) make them easy to transport on construction sites, by car and trailer or with a delivery van. They are ideal for operations in confined spaces in urban areas and for small construction sites or landscaper. The short radius models, which have no rear offset, are among the most compact of their category.

With Yanmar engines delivering important torque, the conventional models can also be used on big construction sites, where an important digging and hoisting power is requested. The SK10SR-3 and SK17SR-5 short radius models have a counterweight within the length of the tracks, which hydraulically increases the machine's stability. For their latest models, the blade has been desgined with a new counter blade easy to replace. Finally, the maintenance is easy from a large engine trap.
