Engcon invests millions in new test facilities
Engcon, the world leading manufacturer of tiltrotators for excavators from 1,5 to 33 tonnes, has invested in order to improve the quality of its offer. The company has added two automated test facilities in their factory in Strömsund, Swede, for a better control of the tiltrotators quality.
A better control of the safety level of their products
These new testing facilities is a collaboration between the Swedish company and tow of its partners, Electrum and Specma.
The new testing facilities test every tiltrotator thouroughly. The equipments and the different pieces are tested to their limits to ensure full mobility without the risk of damaging hoses.
The hydraulics are also put under maximum load, the control system and extra functions are also tested. The new testing facilities also test every control feature.
A better traceability
All the results are stored in a database and linked to the respective tiltrotator being tested. "This gives us a unique insight into each machine and excellent quality control should a detailed follow-up be required if there are any discrepancies”, says Mats Erik Wiktorsson, Quality Manager for the Engcon Group. These two testing facilities give more autonomy to the assembly lines that don't need to refer to other service providers regarding the quality of their products.
Engcon is quality certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, which covers everything from how the company handles its clients, documentation, processes and follow-up to pure product quality.
The Swedish company doesn't only make quality equipments. In addition, Engcon's activities hold environmental certification in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
