Hitachi introduces the new telescopic excavator at the 2016 Bauma

The new Hitachi telescopic excavator from the Zaxis-5 range is specially designed for underground construction sites. The make's main goal is to help clients use machines that are efficient and safe underground.

Better digging and levelling capacities

The new Hitachi telescopic excavator is ideal for levelling and digging on construction sites. This excavator reaches 5 metres deeper than the previous models and the digging grab has a capacity of 1,55 m3.

As for every medium Hitachi excavators, the new model is equipped with the TRIAS hydraulic system, to be more effective during operations. The telescopic arm deployment is faster and the removal force is higher.

Finally, the new Hitachi ZX350LC-5 telescopic excavators have been studied to be able to move in small spaces.

The digging grab can be activated with a sliding mecanism increasing the cylinder's capacity and enabling the operator to dig more easily.

More comfort for more performance

In order to increase the driver's comfort, the new Hitachi machine is equipped with a device that reduces vibrations during operations. Besides, the excavator's cab slides and can move up to 1300 mm to give the operator a better visibility on construction sites. Moreover, a sliding plate system has been installed on the cab to reduce the fits and starts during work.

The new cab is equipped with a color screen giving the operator all the information he needs on construction sites. Finally, a better management of the machine is possible with ergonomic controls.

The maintenance of the Hitachi telescopic excavator is easier

A machine like that must be maintained efficiently, that's why the fuel and engine oil filters as well as the water separator and hydraulic system filter can be inspected from the ground.

Technical characteristics of the ZX350LC-5 telescopic excavator
