JCB introduces their new midi-excavators from 4 to 6 tonnes

Better performances for the new JCB midi-excavators

First off, the four JCB engines have the same qualities than the previous models with a bodywork made of steel and a sturdy four-plate dipper arm construction. In order to increase the machine's performances, the make has created new buckets aimed at easier filling and improved material retention. The main boom is longer and the dipper arm is shorter. This structure provide up to 5% greater dump height for easier truck and site dumper loading. Moreover, the upgraded hydraulic system also delivers up to 9% more bucket tearout force than the previous range. Finally, these four JCB midi-excavators have a Tier 4 Interim engine from Perkins with 48 horsepowers.

Reinforced safety and comfort for the latest JCB midi-excavators

The cabs of the four JCB excavators are equipped with a new screen. Besides, the make has equipped their new machines with a command system inspired by the world of automobile. Indeed, this new system allows the operator to  configure the hydraulic output for two distinct equipments. This device also regulate the working lights, the revolving lights and the windscreen wipers of the excavator.

The brand new JCB midi-excavators are equipped with an optional safe lifting feature that alerts the operator if the machine approaches overload.

Finally, for a better operator's safety, the cabs are equipped with LED work lights at night. Indeed, the cab's light stays on for three minutes after turning off the machine.

JCB makes the maintenance easier for their new midi-excavators

For an easier maintenance, the manufacturer has improved the access to the engine with the help of large opening hoods. Moreover, the cabs are equipped with a removable floor to quickly access the main hydraulic components of the excavator.

The machine's lower chassis are open with inclined stringers for a better cleaning and to avoid the accumulation of materials.

Finally, the four machines have the LiveLink JCB surveillance system. This device provides alerts on hours monitoring and fuel level.
