Caterpillar is set to introduce more than 60 machines during the 2016 Bauma

Caterpillar's expertise will be displayed in the main hall around the « Built for it » theme. At the moment, the American manufacturer said the following machines will be displayed :

Caterpillar 336F LN XE and 352 F XE excavators

Cat will display two hydraulic excavators, the 336F LN and the 352 F from the XE series. These two machines are equipped with intelligent hydraulic system that reduces the fuel consumption by 25% in comparison with the 336E L/LN standard model. These excavators have the Cat Grade and Payload Cat Standard technologies. The Grade technology allows the machines to  move faster while reinforcing the excavator's precision  during operations. Payload is a technology that weighs the load in order to optimise the operator's efficiency on the construction site.

The new 323F XE excavator will also be displayed on the Caterpillar booth.With this machine, the make will be able to display the Cat Grade system as well as the Assist system, which automate the bucket's movements during an operation.The Assist technology makes the boom and bucket autonomous when the operator misses the target at less than 10 cm. It helps the bucket keep the same angle during an excavation and prevents from digging below the wanted level. With these systems developed by Caterpillar, operators are more precise and faster.

The 340 F Long Reach excavator

During the Bauma, Caterpillar will exhibit the 340 F Long Reach excavator. It is known for its very efficient hydraulic system that improves the digging and lifting capacities of the bucket. The 340 F is a long reach excavator specially designed for sand and aggregate extractions.

The Caterpillar loaders

Regarding the loaders Caterpillar wants to exhibit at Bauma, there is the 966M XE wheel loader, the 299D2 XHP mini loader and the 918 M compact loader.

The 918 M is equipped for waste collection, snow removal or farming work. Caterpillar will also display the TH3510D telescopic loader of 3,5 tonnes and a working capacity of 10 m.

The Caterpillar bulldozers

Caterpillar will exhibit the D6N bulldozer equipped with the Cat Grade and the Slope Assist. This machine is reliable and efficient for complex tasks such as precise levelling or backflow. It is ideal to move materials and offers an optimum comfort.  The long lifespan of this universal machine is one of its main advantage.

For road work

Cat introduces three new asphalt pavers, the P300 F, the AP 355 F and the AP 555 F. These machines have a fast heating system that increases their productivity. The CD54B roller will also be on the Cat booth. This machine is equipped with tandem vibrating cylinders of 1 700 mm. The CD54B is efficient on different asphalt mixes and on granular materials.

The mining industry represented by Caterpillar

The Bauma gives importance to the mining industry. Caterpillar will introduce the new 6015B hydraulic excavator specialised in mining work. Fast and powerful, this excavator has been optimised to load the dumpers 773, 775 and 777 Cat in four, five and seven shovels.
