The new Hyndai HL960 wheel loader
Hyundai introduced their latest wheel loader at Intermat in April 2015. Now on the market, operators have been able to test the strong, efficient and powerful machine.
The new HL960 weights 18 800 kg and has a Cummins QSB6.7 engine - stage IV with power output of 225 horsepowers. This brand new wheel loader has a productivity superior by 5% in comparison with the previous range of Hyundai loaders : the 9A range.
A good loader for the environment
The HL 960 by Hyundai is equipped with an automatic engine shutdown which avoids a high energy consumption and reduces the CO2 emissions. This machine can stop its engine when it is slower. Moreover, Hyundai has equipped the new machine with a 5-gear gearbox and a clutch that can be locked to help the operator reduce its energy consumption.
In addition, the HL960 loader can be used even more economically with the « ECO mode » that changes colour depending on the engine torque and the level of energy performance. This indicator, on the dashboard, also displays the average level and the total quantity of fuel consumed by the loader during an operation. Finally, the HL960 is equipped with a « control of maximum moving speed » for the operator to fix the machine's speed between 20 and 40 km/h.
The operator's comfort improved with a new cab
Hyundai equipped their new loaders with a cab 10% bigger than the last range. The machine's seat is adjustable for the operator's comfort.
The cab is sound-proofed with a technology that reduces the noise level by 2dB in comparison with the previous Hyundai loaders from the 9A range. Thus, the operator isn't bothered by the construction noises.
Finally, the cab is equipped with a tactile, 7" screen, bigger than the previous ones. It is connected to the electric-hydraulic commands which allows the operator to have new features such as the « soft bumper » : this system has the bucket working without shocks by reducing the manouvering speed.
New buckets for better productivity
The new range of HL loaders has better precision with new buckets completely redesigned. Indeed, the filling capacity is bigger and they have a better protection against spillage of materials.
This new HL960 loader is available in XT version with a higher tipping height.
