New edition of the Bauma trade fair in April 2016 !

The Bauma trade fair awaits 540 000 visitors in the Messe München. With each edition, the trade fair gets bigger and bigger and this year everything was rented. There are nearly 3 500 exhibitors showing their innovations during this week. The latest edition, that took place in 2013 had a record attendance with 3 421 exhibitors from 200 different countries and more than 500 000 international visitors.

Bauma 2016 gives out the « Innovations Awards » for construction equipment actors

With each edition, the trade fair awards a price for the innovative solutions presented by exhibitors from the sectors (construction, mines and public works). An award will be given to the best of these five categories : machines, parts, construction works, research and conception. The award competitors list for the 2016 edition is now closed, the winner's names will be disclosed the night before the beginning of the exhibition on April 10th, 2016.

To decide between the competitors, the jury takes into account the pratical use of the machine, its contribution to protecting the environment, its profitability, its performances and its efficiency and price-performance.

Who will succeed to the « Pipe Express » from Herrenknecht which won the award in the machine category in 2013.

The mining industry highlighted at each edition

Bauma is the biggest and most important trade fair with a large range of machines and products for the mining industry. SInce 2004, this industry is highlighted during the trade fair. In 2013, more than 698 mining specialised exhibitors showcased their  innovations. Let's keep in mind that in 2013, a quarter of visitors (125 850 people) went to Bauma in order to enquire about the mining industry's innovations.

A construction equipment exhibition distinctly international

The Bauma organises several exhibitions in different countries. Among them, there is the Conexpo Africa in Johannesburg, the Conexpo Latin America in Santiago, the Bauma India and the Bauma China which takes place in Shanghai from November 22 to 25, 2016. This is the biggest Asian exhibition for the construction industry with 3 100 exhibitors from 41 different couontries and 191 000 visitors.
