The American equipment manufacturer introduces their latest models, designed and manufactured by its team.

The long reach track excavators by Caterpillar have been specially designed for a deeper and longer excavation, especially in sandpits, when cleaning tailing ponds. These latest models can lift as well as dig at a distance with deep buckets and a high, large and reinforced chassis that improves the machine's stability. These special excavators are designed and manufactured by Caterpillar. Their integrated design ensures reliability, performance and an aptitude for an optimal use.

The 340F long reach model will be available during the third trimester of 2015. It is equipped with a Caterpillar C9.3 ACERT™ engine meeting the requirements of the Stage IV European norm. It has a turret and a resistant bodywork. The machine's counterweight has been reinforced to get to a maximum horizontal reach of 18.080 mm and a digging depth of 13.050 mm.

The 352F long reach model has the same characteristics. However, it has a C13 ACERT ™ engine and has a maximum horizontal reach of 19.640 mm and a digging depth of 13.040 mm. This excavator will be on the market during the first trimester of  2016.

Hydraulic system

The hydraulic systems on these two models offers a maximum output of 570l/min meaning that the machine rapidly adapts to each working situation and increases the machine's power.

For a better efficiency of the system, all the major hydraulic components are next to each other. Thus there is less connectors, less loss of frictions and pressure and therefore fuel savings. The main hydraulic control valve has been designed to proportionally take the moves of the joystick to handle the system more easily.

Serviceability

The maintenance of the 340F and 352F long reach excavators is made easier by the access to the main control points from the ground. The trapdoors are designed to avoid any debris from getting in and open up safely during maintenance. With the Product Link ™ technology, fleet owners can increase their productivity and reduce their operating costs. Via the ViaLink ® interface, accessible online, they can check all the elements of their machines such as their location or the fuel consumption.
