Caterpillar 340F : an economical and lasting track excavator

Equipped with a Cat C9.3 ACERT engine meeting the requirements of the Stage 4 European emission norms, the new Caterpillar 340F excavator benefits from a strong hydraulic system and a reduced working cost with lasting components, an easy maintenance and a reduced fuel consumption.

Hydraulic power and fuel savings

The hydraulic system of the 340F excavator, with a maximum output of 570 l/min, offers large digging and lifting capacities. The Caterpillar SmartBoom technology reduces vibrations during hammering operations and rock excavations. The hydraulic components are close together, which reduces the friction losses with the use of smaller tubes and hoses. It, thus, saves fuel and reduces the weight. The couplers and hydraulics tracks uses a large variety of equipments : buckets, hammers, grapples, pliers, rippers...

The two driving modes, standard or economic, allow the operator to adapt his driving to the operations. The automatic speed control adjusts the speed to the engine speed depending on the work it's doing and thus saves fuel. The polluting emissions are also reduced and the maintenance is less frequent.

A strong and lasting structure, and a comfortable cab

The boom and jib, in premium steel, have reinforced mouldings and forgings. The « heavy duty » boom, 6.5 m long, paired with a 3.2m arm, reach a digging capacity of 7,48 m. A massive excavation boom is also available for levelling works and heavy equipments. The robust chassis ensures the durability of the machine.

The Cat 340F excavator has a ROPS cab, which is spacious and comfortable for the operator, and its large windscreen offers a large visibility. With the Product Link and Vision Link technologies, the operator can follow, in real time, on its LCD screen the use data of the excavator : precise localisation, working hours, fuel consumption. The check points for the maintenance of the equipments are easily accessible.
