The Terex 33-19 “Titan” dumper: a tourist attraction

Even though the Terex 33-19 “Titan” is no longer in use, it still attracts people at the Bristish Columbia, Canada museum. With an empty weight of 610t, 20.1m long, 7.6m wide and 6.9m high, the construction equipment could load up to 350t. Unused today, the Terex dumper has been replaced by the Caterpillar 797B in the mines.

The Bagger 288 excavator: a 13.500t construction equipment

The Bagger 288 bucket-wheel excavator is 240m long, 96m wide and weighs 13.500t. It is easy to believe that many people are needed to operate this machine but only 5 people are requested. Thanks to its bucket-wheel made of 18 buckets, the Bagger 288 excavator can move up to 240.000t a day.

The Tourneau L-2350 loader and its huge wheels

With an empty weight of 271t and a load capacity of 72t, the performances of the Tourneau L-2350 loader are incredible. The size of the machine match up to the colossal tasks it must operate: 20.28m long, 10.59m wide, 6.45m high, a lifting capacity of 8m and 2300hp. The loader is equipped with the largest wheels in the world (4m).

The Komatsu D575A bulldozer, it can move mountains

Nothing in the mines resists the Komatsu D575A bulldozer: the construction equipment can move up to 96m3 and dig up to 2m! Only a few mines in Japan, in the USA, in Canada and in Australia work with this 150-ton Komatsu bulldozer. The machine is 11.71m long, 7.39m wide and 4.88m high.
