Concrete Batching PlantThe concrete batching plant is an installation intended to produce concrete in large quantities. These are usually large fixed installations, but some are mobile and can be transported from one job site to another. A concrete plant is equipped with an aggregate hopper (gravel, sand) which is supplied by a conveyor belt. Sent to the mixer, the aggregates are mixed with cement from a specific silo, then with water and any additives. The resulting mixture is concrete which can be transported to construction sites using mixer carriers. On recent concrete plants, a computer can be used to fully manage production by controlling the dosage of components. For larger installations, which can be called concrete plants, the aggregate is stored on site, either in silos or in piles outside.
