Liebherr harbour mobile cranes continue to be successful

The experienced jury members were especially impressed by the high performance and the reliability of the LHM 500. With a maximum lifting capacity of 140 t and a maximum outreach of 51 m, the LHM 500 is designed for a turnover up to 1,500 t/h in bulk and to handle vessels up to the capesize class.
The LHM 500 is by far the the best selling mobile harbour crane for dedicated bulk handling available on the market. Since its introduction to the market in 2003, more than 150 machines of this type have been delivered into more than 40 countries.
The "crane of the year" award represents a further incentive for Liebherr, since the successor model LHM 550 is already waiting in the wings. Besides different new equipment and configuration options, the new Pactronic® hybrid drive system will be introduced to the market on the new LHM 550 - an impressive power booster that protects the environment due to its significantly reduced fuel consumption.
