Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London have strengthened its team with the appointment of Simon Rodgers as Sales Director.

Simon’s background includes over 20 years in the automotive, commercial vehicle and construction sectors. His appointment is central to Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London’s focus on building partnerships with customers from across all sectors of the transport industry.

Says Simon, “My main objective in the role of Sales Director is to ensure that we fully engage with our customers to help them create more customers of their own and more profit for their businesses. We aim to make Volvo the number one natural choice in the London region as the preferred partner for all sizes and types of transport operator.”

Although Simon is based at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London’s Hayes Dealerpoint, he is spending a substantial part of his time face-to-face with Volvo customers and prospects.

He reports that customers have clearly defined their business needs in the conversations he has had so far: “I have already had the pleasure of meeting a number of businesses in the London area and their message to me has been loud and clear. They want to work with a partner who can maximise their revenues and productivity, minimise their down time and offer innovative and creative solutions to their ever changing business needs.”

According to Simon, Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London’s ability to offer a total package – from Volvo’s ‘Fuelwatch’ programme to Driver Training and CPC,  highly trained workshop Technicians and even accident repairs – coupled to Volvo’s highly regarded fuel saving technology, enables them to focus on their core business and their own customer relationships.
