A Linde R14S reach truck participated in the launch of the Xiamen International Marathon early this month.
The reach truck lifted Bai Xue to complete the marathon’s torch-lighting ceremony. Bai, 20, was the winner of the 2009 World Championships Women’s Marathon held in Berlin, and the youngest women’s world marathon champion. She is also China’s first athlete to win a marathon in the World Championships.
CEO of Linde (China), CP Quek, who flagged off the marathon runners, said the forklift company was honoured to contribute to the prestigious international sporting event.
After the torch ceremony, the Linde reach truck provided Xiamen Daily and Xiamen TV with an elevated platform to record the event.
